Radial shockwave frequently asked questions
How does an in-home session work?
I bring the equipment to you. Complete your intake questionnaire beforehand, provide a quiet space, and wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the treatment area. We review your symptoms, goals and comfort level before starting.
How long is a session?
The initial consultation and first treatment is approximately 15–30 minutes. Follow-up appointments are approximately 10–20 minutes.
Which areas do you serve?
Kelowna, West Kelowna, Vernon and Lake Country. If you live just outside these areas, please get in touch to ask about availability.
Do you accept insurance?
Services are paid out of pocket. A 25% deposit is due when booking, and the remaining balance is due at the end of your visit. Kelowna Shockwave does not currently provide receipts eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Please give at least 12 hours’ notice for changes. Contact us about late cancellations, missed visits and any refund request.
What does the treatment feel like?
Some people experience discomfort, particularly in sensitive areas, and temporary soreness can occur afterward. Intensity is adjusted in response to your feedback. Ask your treating healthcare professional about activity or medication decisions.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on how you respond. No specific number of sessions or result is guaranteed.
What type of shockwave do you use?
Kelowna Shockwave provides radial shockwave only. Radial and focused devices deliver energy differently and are not interchangeable. If focused shockwave has been specifically recommended to you, confirm the appropriate treatment with your healthcare provider before booking.
Is treatment suitable for everyone?
Shockwave services are available only to adults aged 18 and over. Suitability also depends on your health history. Complete the intake questionnaire before your visit and discuss medical concerns with your healthcare provider. A technician’s service does not replace medical diagnosis or care. If you are unsure whether the service is appropriate for you, contact us before booking.
How do I manage my appointment?
Use the private Manage Appointment link in your confirmation email to view or reschedule your booking, request cancellation, or pay the balance when your visit is complete.
How do I book the remaining sessions in my prepaid package?
Use the private Manage your prepaid package link in your package confirmation email. It shows your remaining sessions and lets you book future covered follow-up appointments without paying again.
What if I lose my confirmation email or private link?
Contact Kelowna Shockwave. After your booking or package is verified, the private access link can be reissued.
